Terms of Use
The short version: use Jour, enjoy the sky, and keep an eye on the official warnings when it matters.
Last updated 30 October 2026
1. The licence
Jour is licensed to you under Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These terms add a few points specific to Jour. Where they differ, the Apple agreement applies.
2. Jour Pro
Jour is free. Jour Pro adds the rain radar, the Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets and the Apple Watch app, and is offered as a monthly or yearly subscription or as a one-time lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in the app, in your currency, before you buy.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
- A subscription renews automatically at the same price and for the same period unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
- You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time in your Apple Account settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Jour Pro stays active until the end of the period you have paid for.
- If a free trial is offered and you subscribe during it, any unused part of the trial ends when you subscribe.
- Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Purchases can be restored on any device signed in with the same Apple Account, from Settings in Jour.
3. About the forecast
Jour shows forecasts, measurements and warnings from third parties. Weather is hard to predict, and the information may be late, incomplete or wrong. Jour is for general information. Do not rely on it alone where safety, health or property is at stake: follow the instructions of your local authorities and your national weather service.
Warnings are shown where they are available, currently in Europe through MeteoAlarm and in the United States through the National Weather Service. Their absence in Jour does not mean there is no warning in force.
4. Where the data comes from
Weather data by Open-Meteo.com under CC BY 4.0, based on the models of the national weather services named in the app. Air quality data by Open-Meteo and the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service. Radar by RainViewer. Warnings by EUMETNET MeteoAlarm and the US National Weather Service. Maps by Apple.
5. Liability
Jour is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for decisions made on the basis of the information it shows, or for interruptions of the services it relies on. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights under the mandatory consumer protection laws of the country you live in.
6. Changes and law
We may update these terms, for example when Jour gains new features. The date at the top shows when they last changed. These terms are governed by Swiss law, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence.
